Escalation *continued*

The three worlds the campaign will be played on, along with d6 weather charts for each.

The three worlds orbit a dying star. 

Forgeworld Aventus V
Due to enriched metals found on the surface of this world it was deemed the prime location for a forgeworld due to ease of access. STC’s are constantly being rediscovered in the halls of this Forgeworlds manufactorum. 
The exports of this Manufactorum are guns and shells mostly, but the production and repair of land raiders are why this is a crucial asset to the imperium of man, and why the The forgeworld must be protected. 
Ichtar IV 
This dead world was once home to a successor chapter of one of the Dark angels, What happened to them none can say, but this world still bares the scars of a battle long since past. Noxious fumes of chemical warfare and acid rain turn the already bleak planet into a picture of true despair. Wrecked vehicles and ruined building dot the hellish landscape, but who knows what secrets the chapter’s stronghold may yield. 
Ethara
This Ice world seems to bare little tactical importance, Save for the shrine to The Emperor upon it.  Other than that this planet is mostly used for mining, Though strange beasts and missing camps seem to tell the tale of a haunted planet with a bloody past. 
Special rules:
When playing on Aventus roll 2d6+2, You and your opponent take turns setting terrain. There must be at least 3 buildings on the board. If the number of terrain pieces is odd, set up a Aegis defense line with quad gun attachment in the center of the board, either player may control it as if they had brought it with their army. 
Ruins on Aventus are reinforced thus adding +1 to your cover save inside them, this cannot be further improved. 
When playing on Ichtar roll 2d6 for terrain pieces, players take turns setting up terrain.  All forests, rivers, and lakes are assumed to be toxic or poisoned, and as such are dangerous terrain instead of difficult, Even models with move through cover must test when navigating these hazards. 
When playing on Ethara roll 1d6 for terrain pieces, You and your opponent take turns setting them up. At least one must be dangerous terrain. Dangerous terrain tests are failed on a 1 and 2, and units without a bike, jetbike, jump packs, wings, or being inside a vehicle count as being in difficult terrain for the purposes of moving. Gets hot weapons do not get hot.
Weather:
Roll a D6 before you start.
Aventus: 
1-It’s Raining Shells- At the beginning of the game, after armies are set up and their scouts have moved, but before first turn roll a d6 for each unit. On a 6 they suffer d6 str 4 Ap- hits. After all units have resolved continue the game normally.
2-Eclipse- Night fight rules are in effect for the entire game. 
3-Not a cloud in the sky- Reserve rolls get +1
4-Tainted fuel- all Vehicles that are destroyed or reduced to 0 Hull points explode in a firey rain of shrapnel, roll d6+6” for the range and resolve vehicle explosions as normal. All units that took an unsaved wound get a soul blaze counter on them. 
5-Spring is in the air- All units gain Feel no pain (6+), if there is a forest on the board units inside it increase that save to a 5+
6-Infestation- On turn one the player who will go first chooses a terrain piece not within 6” of a unit and deepstrikes a unit of 10 genestealers in it. At the end of each turn the Genestealers move 6” towards the closest unit, if they contact Close combat will begin on the next player’s close combat phase. 
If the Genestealer unit is completely destroyed, another unit is deepstriked into the same building and the player who finished them receives +1 vp
Genestealers stats are: WS 6, S 4, T 4, 1 W, I 6, A 2, LD 10, Sv 5+ (rending claws)
Ichtar:
1-Radioactive Hot zone- Weapons that get hot get hot on rolls of both 1 and 2 
2-Acid rain- All armor saves are -1 from their normal value
3-Toxic fog- All Close combat attacks have poison (4+), but all units (except flyers) gain shrouded
4-Fire storm- All models gain the special rule Soul blaze on their weapons
5-Radioactive tornado- At the beginning of the game place a large base in the middle of the table, at the end of each full turn roll 3d6 and a scatter die (“Hit!” sides are rerolled) move the base to that location. All units or vehicles it passed over must immediately take  2d6 Str 6 hits with no armor or cover saves allowed. Flyers hit must immediately crash.   
6-Beautiful day on the Hellscape- +1 to all Ld
Ethara:
1-It can’t get worse…right?- -1 to all Ld
2-I can’t hear myself think- Perils of the warp occurs anytime the roll of a double occurs on a psychic test. 
3-The knowledge, it fills me!- All psykers generate one more power than they normally would. 
4-Glacial shift- (as seismic cataclysm in the main rulebook page 367)
5-Infestation- On turn one the player who will go first chooses a terrain piece not within 6” of a unit and deepstrikes a unit of 10 genestealers in it. At the end of each turn the Genestealers move 6” towards the closest unit, if they contact Close combat will begin on the next player’s close combat phase. 

If the Genestealer unit is completely destroyed, another unit is deepstriked into the same building and the player who finished them receives +1 vp
Genestealers stats are: WS 6, S 4, T 4, 1 W, I 6, A 2, LD 10, Sv 5+ (rending claws)

6- It just got worse…- All models roll 3d6 on their leaderships discarding the lowest. If this would cause a perils of the warp the psyker is removed with no saves of any type allowed. if he was part of a unit that unit takes Xd6 Str 4 Ap- hits where X= how many wounds remained.

Escalation *Continued*

Well since there seems to be at least a little interest in it I’ll go ahead and post the main rules I had down for the campaign, with a follow up post detailing planet special rules and the weather chart. 

*as from the book*

-Each army must conform to the Force organization requirement of 1 Hq and 2 troops

-Special characters (HQ, Unit, or unit upgrade) May only be purchased at 1000 pts+

-All armies must contain 1 generic HQ to act as your Warlord

-All generic Hq’s be named

-Special characters that say they “Must be the warlord” lose that ability for this campaign

-selections from the army once taken cannot be downgraded or eliminated.

Example: A unit of 10 space marines is bought with a Flamer at 500 points, at the next points level (1000) they are given a rhino and a melta, they cannot at the next point level drop any members of their squad (including the rhino) or replace the melta with a flamer, The melta could be further upgraded to a plasma gun though. Just remember the rule “Always up, never down”

-The Exception to this rule is the Warlord and can only occur if he is killed in battle. If the HQ is slain you may choose to replace the Hq with another HQ selection all together, and re-equip them as you please, so long as they are not a special character.

-If your Hq lives you must adhear to the upgrade rules.

Force restrictions:

Fortifications are banned as they don’t make sense for an army to cart around, and some maps will provide fortifications. 

Flyers are restricted to 1 selection per army

Flying monstrous creatures are restricted to 1 model per army. 

Biggest rule: Don’t be a dick, This is supposed to be a fun campaign with no prizes on the line for winning, so don’t be a dick.
